Without warning or reason, someone called me a terrorist. This person looked at me, and said: "I had to look twice, thought you were a terrorist!" NEVER have I had such an unjust label placed upon me in my life. NEVER! And what's additionally head scratching is why someone would make a comment simply by the way someone looks? What was it about ME that caused this person to comment in this manner? Was it my ethnicity? Perhaps it is the way I choose to style my hair, wear my clothes or ....maybe there is no REAL reason at all that excuses such ignorance.
The foolishly stupid stereotypes people have developed strictly based on how someone looks is expired and without purpose. It never matters the intent of a hurtful word that is used; what matters is why we choose words of harm in the first place. Suppose I was called this name in the presence of others, perhaps at a large gathering like a mall or concert- what do you think the reaction would be among on-lookers? FEAR would likely penetrate their hearts, and they would have formed a terrible opinion of me all based upon a lie. Why is there is very little accountability for these types behaviors? Too often minorities and people of faith are blamed for things that are not their fault. For too often people take on these stale viewpoints created by others instead of educating themselves on how to appreciate and interact with the different cultures that exist today. Despite popular opinion, now every black person is on drugs or uneducated, not every while person is a racist, and not everyone who looks like a terrorist, IS A TERRORIST. It is because of sheer ignorance (lack-of knowledge) that we assume the very worse about people based on their race, religion, creed, or sexual preference . These types of things happen too much without justification. This is one reason why the world is having trouble recognizing the correct faces of EVIL and GOOD.
So... what DOES a terrorist look like to you?

The Influence of Numbers in our Lives
What's in a number? Numbers are very important and have everything to do with anything in life. Before you assume that this post is about astrology, horoscopes and palm readings relax...it is not. But it is about the importance of numbers in and around our lives. Many are quick to dismiss astrology as a myth, although this is usually because they are viewing it from an incorrect perspective. Give this some thought - In General, What Area in Life Does not Relate to Numbers? There is not one area of life where numbers do not play an important role. Numbers are used for everything! Throughout history world wide, numbers were/are needed to construct buildings, to calculate directions, to purchase goods, to identify people (birthday's, social security number etc.), to keep track of dates and time..the list goes on. Not only are numbers used and needed for everything, the sum and pattern of numbers also are very significant. Private, public and spiritual messages are relayed through numbers. For instance, in a public example, the string of 911 almost always represents an EMERGENCY. No matter what part of the country you are in, this holds true. Think this is only a coincidence? Not even! There are various of patterns all around numbers and all of them have meanings and purpose. Everything from holidays to historic events relate to numbers. Patterns of numbers can also tell a story. A lot of people only hear the words to astrological signs i.e. Capricorn, Taurus, Leo etc. but these signs too all relate to a set of numbers.
Your birthday means something. Your address means something. Your shoe size means something! (just kidding ha ha ha). Here is a very simple test to prove a basic importance of numbers:
1. Make a list of everyone close to you (this would be your closest friends/family, not everyone you know.)
2. Write down their birthdays in numeric format (not their astrological sign)
3. Notice that they are all the same or similar patterns of numbers.
You can do the same test for people you do not get along with, or your co-workers, family members etc. You should notice a pattern in each. This is not about astrology as it is taught in the worldly view. This is simply to draw your attention to the significance and power that numbers play in all of our lives.

Beyonce' Lip Sync? Much Ado About Nothing
![]() |
| Beyonce' Knowles |
The Star Spangled-Banner was written by poet Francis Scott Key. It was written as a poem in response to the British attack and later became America's national song. Key, later went on to become a U.S. District Attorney who was opposed and attempted to prosecute anyone who possessed anti-slavery publications. He was also a slave owner. There is much more to learn about Key, and the song itself which makes all of this hype about lip sync much ado about nothing!

Star Spangled Banner Lyrics:
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;

Why I Refuse to See D'jango Unchained
..."Coming here I don't have the distractions of fame. It quiets the ego down. I'm interested in the kind of person I've got to become. I want to be well rounded and the industry is a place of extremes. I want to be well balanced. I've got to check my intentions, man..."
Art very often imitates life and life as we have learned to know it, isn't always nice. I know there is a lot of controversy over the new movie D'Jango Unchained from blacks, whites, red and blue people all over planet earth. Some status level people have both supported (Jamie Fox) and denounced (Spike Lee) the file. However, none of this has slowed the success of this movie. To date, D'Jango Unchained has grossed close to 140 million dollars domestically and close to 50 million in foreign lands. The film even gained recognition at this years recent Golden Globe awards.
I've heard from a few people that this movie was awesome. Some have told me to ignore all the other intricacies and focus on the story because the story was indeed captivating to say the least. No matter how much I hear these opinions, I cannot bring myself to watch or support this movie in any way. For starters, ask yourself this question: Why Do You Think This Movie Was Truly Made? To tell a story, educate (inform) or something else? My take is, something else was the real motive behind this film and it does not include making money. The word nigger is one of the most reprehensible words in the English language to date. Everytime this word has been spoken, it was to evoke pain, hatred or fear. Even in 2013 this word still harbors ill will for those who say it, and for those it is spoken too. Now some would argue that this type of language was necessary for a movie set in this time period and I would tend to agree BUT.... to use the word over 100 times has me perplexed. For a time when race continues to be a sensitive subject (President Obama, Trayvon Martin Case and others) all I can say is WHY? Can you imagine what rehersal was like? If the word nigger was used 100 times in the finished product, how many times do you think it was said while filming? How many people do you think walked away after seeing that movie with a new perspective on slavery or a new admiration for "black" people? NONE. I talked to a friend who watched the movie recently in a non-urban area. He said every time the word "nigger" was said people laughed. Really? Can you imagine how this felt to a young black kid sitting there watching it? It probably would further dampen his self image. After all, it's not as if the world has done a good job of shunning these feelings for minorities. Suppose this young man doesn't have any good role models at home and this is what he hears and sees. Art can shape us ya know.
Then there is more. Not long after Quinton Taratino released this movie he gets into an argument with an interviewer whom he made reference to "monkey's and slaves". He went on to use the nigger word at the Golden Globes as if it were a regular term, and some idiot even made and planned to sell D'jango Unchained dolls. Really? All I can say is WHY? The way my mind works; something is wrong here. I'm thinking... is this just another movie to entertain the masses (for all to enjoy) or a back handed slick way to purport racism on the big screen? There are lots of other events that have been horrible in history that others have spoken about but there was a certain sensitivity to these subjects. I have yet to see a movie made where gay or lesbian folks are ridiculed 100+ times, nor Asians, nor overweight people, nor women, nor victims of abuse/rape ...the list goes on. Why is it then acceptable here, in this genre of film, where the cast is predominantly black, and by this director who just happens to be white? By the way, what qualifies him as an expert on what happened during these times anyways? People make excuses for everything these days and I almost forgot that its only "entertainment".
My mom used to tell me that certain folk would do anything just for a dollar (money). Sadly, she was right. When I think of the actors involved in this film they profited financially but at what expense? What did they lose in the process of making a dollar? It makes me think about Dave Chappelle and how he abruptly quit comedy. He realized that sometimes jokes aren't just funny. Everything isn't all fun, games and entertainment like many tend suggest. Sometimes the people are laughing at you, not with you. This is how I feel when I think about this film and is reason why I refuse to support it.

The Meaning of the Word "god"
Newsflash- Did you know the word "god" is NOT a name? God is indeed a title. According to the standard dictionary, the word "god" is defined as: to call upon or invoke and, if you dig further into researching the root meaning of this word, you will also discover that the word "god" is in fact a European term. Before Christianity, the word god alone was not generally not found in ancient writings. Think about the ancient myths of Greek gods and goddess- they all had specific names! Zeus, Aphrodite, Athena, Poseidon, Hades are some examples of actual names of gods and goddesses according to Greek legend.
If you believe the former to be true, then one must wonder Who are people really calling upon when they say the word God? Overstand that people tend make things into gods. They invoke, call upon or worship all types worldly items (and in some cases other people) as sacred, but the danger in this is assuming that the word god is synonymous with all. Depending upon the believer, the word god takes on multiple meanings or no meaning at all. Just as in the Greek legend, people called upon specific gods by name for specific request. When I communicate with my supernatural source, I call by specific name: YAH or in some cases The Most High. To lay folk god, Yah, The Most High all mean the same thing- but in reality they do not.
Consider your name. My name is Rosey. Some people may call me Ro, or Rose for short. Others refer to me as Author Rosey Denise (a title). I respond to all of these names when called upon but if someone calls me Jessica, thou they may intend on speaking to me, I don't answer because this is not my name. If someone says author, I don't respond to this either because author is not my name. After all, which author might they be referring to? There are of course many many different authors! :) The overall gist of this message is to convey the importance of not only words but also their true meanings. Learn the correct meaning of the words you say and how they are used. Give this some thought....do you really know who you are calling upon when you say the word god?

Queen- KNOW Thyself
QUEEN, Sisters, Mothers of the Earth- Do you really know your worth?
Your value is not in the clothes your wear, or any other artificial turf
A woman is truly esteemed by the way she honors self
Her love is right within before she even attempts to love anyone else
Sister - Do you strive on eating the right foods?
Consumption of nothing but junk really does affect your mood
Try to eat fresh fruits, and vegetables whenever you can
Because what we put in our body is our attractive scent to our men
Forget about the illusions you are filled with from the t.v. screen
There is no one shape, size or figure for an authentic Queen
Take time to meditate and always remain in control of your thoughts
True Queens, and Goddesses are self made and cannot be bought!

Let Go and Never Look Back!
Have you ever watch birds fly in the sky? They always appear to FREE and never distracted. They aren't worried about what they will eat, or if the weather will be nice tomorrow. They aren't even concerned with other birds who are also in the sky - they fly continue to fly. The fly high and strong when its cold out, and when its warm outside. They aren't worried about anything other than being who they were called to be - a bird!
To be free like a bird, means letting go of dead weight. It means letting go of old habits, old patterns of thinking, old friends, old jobs, old clothes - it is erasing the past by having the peace to move forward and never looking back. This peace comes from within. You know what gives you true peace. You know the things that bring closure to your soul. When we silent our emotions and focus on whats right and pure the answers will come naturally to us. Let go of whatever you are holding. Live and Be free as a bird!
